About Us

Lynda Hartman of Oshkosh, WI, owns and operates A New Milieu Home Staging and Redesign services. Lynda is a qualified staging professional (QSP) through the Midwest School of Interior Redesign in Illinois, recognized as a vocational school by the Illinois State Board of Education, and approved by Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (IRIS). Lynda had been redesigning for family, friends and coworkers, for over a decade, when she decided to turn her passion into her profession in 2006. In the late 1990’s, Ms. Hartman owned and operated a bed and breakfast in Los Alamos, New Mexico where she restyled each of the 9 rooms with fresh, comfortable and relaxing themes using items left behind by the previous owner.

“I have found my niche of theatrical set design, decorating, and creating “original paintings” through faux finishing, that has culminated in this career. One of my redesign clients dubbed me her “decorating coach.” I thought the title especially appropriate as I not only enjoy doing the work, I love helping home owners achieve their vision of a “pulled together, chic style.” This can be accomplished through redesign of complete rooms, or simply a color consultation, faux finish of a fireplace or feature wall, or simply changing the furniture placement.
